Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor hailing from Bahrain's Manama was raised in the multicultural home of a family. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez is an Sri Lankan. She is the younger of two siblings and has one older brother. She was born and raised in Bahrain. The family of her parents moved there in the 1980s due to the civil war in Sri Lanka. She received a scholarship to go to in the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia, after completing her education in Bahrain. Her passion for languages and cultures has led her to the Berlitz Language School, a school in which she improved her French and Arabic while learning Spanish. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 won Miss Universe 2006 competition in March 2006. She also participated as Miss Universe 2006 also. Following her 2006 Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television and hosted a show about Sri Lankan business called Lanka Business Report. Padukone was born to the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. When she was a teenager she participated in national badminton tournaments. She later resigned from the sport and became a designer. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, India. The language she speaks is Konkani is her origin. Padukone Village is located in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District in Karnataka located in India. Prakash Padukone has retired as an internationally renowned badminton athlete and her mother is also a travel agent.
